Meet Our Team
The sum of our parts, the people who keep the winery moving, and the wine flowing!
Paul Graydon, Owner and Chief Executive Officer
Paul is married to Jayne and have three children. They moved to Summerland BC in 2012 from Alberta to purchase a winery. In 2003 they emigrated from the UK where they had grown up and established their lives in the Kent area. They became Canadian Citizens in 2010. They called themselves ‘Saxon Winery’ after their English heritage from centuries past and this has served them well over the period since January 2012.
As a WSET3 Paul’s life has been transformed since starting the winery and his passion for wine has been given an outlet. Paul loves the sales and marketing side of the business and employs a winemaker and vineyard staff to run production.
Jayne Graydon, Owner and Director
Jayne married Paul in 1982 and commenced an illustrious home making career with three wonderful children, Richard, Emily and Oliver. Jayne early wine career in England saw her selling the most Piper Heidseick Champagne in her first year and being jetted off to Rheims to visit Piper HQ by way of a reward. She was eight months pregnant at the time and had to be flown in by private jet! Since emigrating with the family in 2003 Jayne has established herself as an astute manager of the sales and marketing team at Saxon and specalizes in selecting the wine styles so loved by our loyal customer base. She is also a director of Bottleneck Drive which is the cornerstone of the wine trail in Summerland.
